Grant Dawson may still be undefeated in the UFC, but his record is no longer perfect.

Dawson’s three-round war with Ricky Glenn ended in a majority draw during Saturday’s UFC Vegas 41 co-main event, as Glenn rallied late to steal away two 10-8 scores in Round 3 after dropping the opening two frames. In the end, one judge scored the contest 29-28 in Dawson’s favor, while the other two judges saw it equal with 28-28 scorecards.

Dawson (17-1-1) was sailing on smooth waters for the first 10 minutes of the bout as he spent the majority of Round 1 locked onto Glenn’s back with a body triangle while hunting for rear-naked choke attempts, then spent the majority of Round 2 staying busy from top position after securing a slick takedown.

But Glenn (22-6-2) was undeterred. The former WSOF featherweight champion dominated the final frame after reversing a Grant takedown and nearly securing multiple submissions, including an arm-triangle choke and a nasty d’arce choke that Glenn locked up in the closing seconds.

Dawson was ultimately saved by the bell, but the late turnaround was convincing enough for Glenn to escape with a tie in two judges’ eyes.

Dawson is now 5-0-1 in his UFC career, while Glenn moves to 4-3-1.
