DWCS Season 5, Week 8 video: Armen Petrosyan sleeps Kaloyan Kolev with brutal head kick

Armen Petrosyan proved his world championship muay thai credentials after overcoming some early adversity.

Petrosyan took on Kaloyan Kolev in a light heavyweight matchup on DWCS Season 5, Week 8 Tuesday night inside the UFC APEX. Kolev picked up an early takedown and smothered Petrosyan for most of the first round. Once Petrosyan was able to find some sort of separation, his superior striking took over and after landing some big punches, he landed a vicious head kick that put his opponent unconscious.

Of course, Dana White was very impressed with the finish and signaled that Petrosyan would likely become one of the newest members of the roster.

With the win, Petrosyan — the Fight Nights Global light heavyweight champion — improved to 6-1 and picked up his second straight victory. The 30-year-old has finished all of his victories.

Kolev saw his 10-fight winning streak come to an end.
