A matchup between welterweight finishers is set for November.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that Miguel Baeza and Khaos Williams will meet at the UFC’s event on Nov. 13 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. MMA DNA was first to report the booking.
Baeza will look to bounce back from his first career loss — a hard fought unanimous decision loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio in one of the year’s most exciting fights at UFC Vegas 28 in June — which snapped a 10-fight win streak. “Caramel Thunder” makes his fifth octagon appearance, which includes finishes of Takashi Sato, Matt Brown and Hector Aldana.
After consecutive first-round finishes to begin his UFC run, Williams was on the wrong end of a unanimous decision against Michel Pereira at UFC Vegas 17 this past December. “The Oxfighter” got back in the win column with at UFC Vegas 29 with a decision win of his own against Matthew Semelsberger.
The UFC’s Nov. 13 event will be headlined by a featherweight showdown between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez.
