In the latest edition of “The Thrill and the Agony,” cameras take in the aftermath of UFC 257 this past Saturday in Abu Dhabi.

The top-heavy event naturally focuses on the main and co-main events, Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler vs. Dan Hooker, as the action comes to an end and the winning and losing corners process what happened.

After Chandler’s rousing post-fight speech that includes a callout of champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, we see the moments immediately following Poirier’s knockout of McGregor. The former two-division champ’s fiancee Dee Devlin reacts in horror to the second-round knockout loss, while Poirier’s wife, Jolie, shouts “that’s the last time anyone doubts my husband.

Backstage, Jolie Poirier is all class as she walks to McGregor’s dressing room and thanks him for a $500,000 donation to her husband’s “Good Fight Foundation,” which was pledged as the two contemplated a celebrity boxing match before agreeing to face off in the octagon.

“Thank you for everything – it’s going to help change a lot of lives,” she said.

Poirier is also selling his fight kit from the bout, the proceeds of which will go to the foundation. The former interim champ hopes to build a gym for underprivileged youth, among other projects.
