Ben Rothwell has his next assignment.
The 51-fight veteran is set to fight Philipe Lins in a heavyweight bout at a UFC event on March 13, with a location still to be determined. MMA Fighting confirmed the news with sources with knowledge of the bout following an initial report by Combate.
Rothwell (38-13) is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Marcin Tybura this past October. That broke a two-fight win streak for Rothwell, which saw him beat Ovince Saint Preux by split decision and Stefan Struve by second-round TKO. Rothwell, 39, owns a UFC record of 8-7.
Lins (14-5) seeks his first UFC victory after joining the promotion last May. The 35-year-old Brazilian was the 2018 PFL heavyweight champion, but he has fallen short in octagon outings against Tanner Boser and Andrei Arlovski.
The March 13 UFC event is currently scheduled to be headlined by a welterweight bout between Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev.
