A featherweight fight with explosive potential between Nate Landwehr and Julian Erosa is currently in the works for the upcoming UFC event on Feb. 20.
Multiple sources close to the matchup confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Thursday. MMA DNA was first to report the fight.
After earning his first UFC win in a bloody battle with Darren Elkins this past May, Landwehr was forced to miss out on two separate fights later in the year after COVID-19 prevented both bouts from actually happening.
Now Landwehr will finally make his return to action in February while seeking his second consecutive win inside the octagon.
Meanwhile, Erosa looks to build on his most recent win after he accepted a short-notice fight against Sean Woodson back in June 2020. On that night, Erosa pulled off a third-round D’Arce choke submission to earn his first UFC win after first debuting with the promotion back in 2015.
Landwehr vs. Erosa is the latest addition to the Feb. 20 card, which will be headlined by heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis in the main event.
