This is the UFC Vegas 9 live blog for Alistair Overeem vs. Augusto Sakai, the heavyweight headliner for Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Overeem returns to the octagon four months after a quick win over Walt Harris, which put him back in the win column after a brutal KO loss to Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Sakai is surging with four straight wins since joining the UFC in late 2018.
