A marquee matchup in the lightweight division is headed to the upcoming UFC event on Nov. 7 as Diego Ferreira is expected to face off against Drew Dober.
Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Friday following an initial report from ESPN.
A winner of six fights in a row, Ferreira has been making a steady climb up the lightweight ranks after falling to Dustin Poirier and Beneil Dariush in consecutive outings. Most recently, Ferreira dispatched former 155-pound champion Anthony Pettis in impressive fashion after he wrapped up a ‘Performance of the Night’ with a second round submission win.
As for Dober, the 31-year-old UFC veteran has put together a 6-1 record over his past seven fights including three victories in a row. Dober has earned knockouts in all three of those wins against Alexander Hernandez, Nasrat Haqparast and Marco Polo Reyes.
Now he’ll get the chance to face a top 10 lightweight in Ferreira come November.
As of now, the upcoming card on Nov. 7 does not have a main event.
