Bantamweights Ketlen Vieira and Marion Reneau will face off at the upcoming UFC event scheduled for Sept. 26 in Las Vegas.
Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting with bout agreements already issued. MMA Junkie initially reported the news.
Vieira and Reneau were originally scheduled to meet back in May but the event was scrapped due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Reneau eventually fought in June but dropped a decision to Raquel Pennington.
Now the bantamweights will meet in September with both fighters in need of a win.
Reneau has dropped three straight including losses to Pennington, Yana Kunitskaya and Cat Zingano. Prior to those setbacks. Reneau had gone 3-0-1 including a win over former title contender Sara McMann.
As for Vieira, she will look to bounce back after suffering the first loss of her career when she fell to Irene Aldana by knockout this past December.
More fights will be added to the Sept. 26 card with a main event still to be determined.
