Invicta FC 40 is official following the weigh-ins on Wednesday, but one fight was removed from the card after an athlete was deemed unable to compete due to medical reasons.
Flyweight competitor DeAnna Bennett was pulled from the show at the last minute after she had “a medical issue during her weight cut and could not weigh-in,” according to Invicta officials. Her opponent, Victoria Leonardo, has been paid her show purse after making weight.
The card will move forward on Thursday night with five total fights on the show.
In the main event, former UFC fighter Juliana Lima will take on Emily Ducote in a strawweight showdown. Lima hit the scale at 115.5 pounds while Ducote came in at 115.2 pounds.
