Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting following an initial report from MMA Junkie.
Overall, Waterson has suffered back-to-back losses following three straight wins that put her into title contention in the women’s 115-pound division. Now she’ll look to get back on track while preparing for a return to action in August.
As for Hill, she’s been one of the most active fighters on the entire UFC roster lately with seven fights in the past two years including three bouts already in 2020. Prior to the setback against Gadelha in May, Hill had won three consecutive fights including a pair of TKO finishes over Ariane Carnelossi and Hannah Cifers.
A main event for the UFC card on Aug. 22 hasn’t been announced yet but the event is expected to take place at the APEX facility in Las Vegas.
