Heavyweight Tanner Boser was bumped to the preliminary card at the last minute before UFC on ESPN 12. But he put on a performance worthy of a headliner.
Boser caught Philipe Lins with a flurry of punches before the three-minute mark to secure his second UFC win in highlight fashion. An overhand right dazed the approaching Lins, and a follow-up caught his chin. As the Brazilian fell, he took several more shots before the fight was called off.

The official time of stoppage was 2:41 of the first round for Boser, who rebounded from a decision loss to Cyril Gane in his previous bout. Lins, a Season 2 PFL heavyweight tournament finalist, remains winless in the octagon after decision loss to ex-champ Andrei Arlovski in his debut.
Boser vs. Lins swapped places with Takashi Sato vs. Jason Witt, which was moved to the main card because short-notice fighter Witt had not yet been medically cleared.
