A late change has been made to the UFC on ESPN 12 card this weekend with Julian Erosa returning to face Sean Woodson after Kyle Nelson was forced out of the event.
Multiple sources confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, visa issues stopped Nelson from traveling into the United States from Canada, which ultimately forced him to pull out of the fight.
In his place steps Erosa, who is a five-time UFC veteran and former competitor on The Ultimate Fighter. While Erosa exited the UFC following three straight losses, he picked up a first-round submission win in his last outing against A.J. Bryan on the regional fight circuit.
Now he will return to the UFC to face Woodson, who is an undefeated prospect with a 1-0 record in the promotion after earning his contract by way of Dana White’s Contender Series.
UFC on ESPN 12 is headlined by a lightweight showdown between former interim champion Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker.
