Frank Camacho has a new opponent at UFC on ESPN 11.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that Camacho will now face newcomer Justin Jaynes at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. Jaynes will make his long-awaited UFC debut following the removal of Matt Frevola due to his teammate Billy Quarantillo testing positive for COVID-19.
MMA Junkie was first to report the new pairing.
Jaynes, 30, enters the UFC on the heels of four consecutive first round finishes. The last three fights for “Guitar Hero” took place under the WXC banner where he captured the promotion’s lightweight title. In his most recent bout, the Xtreme Couture product defeated James Warfield-Lane via TKO in just over two minutes.
Camacho looks to get back in the win column following a first-round submission loss to Beneil Darisuh in October at UFC Singapore. “The Crank” is 2-4 thus far in his UFC tenure, but is a three-time “Fight of the Night” recipient.
