Julia Avila nearly head-kicked Dana White with excitement after quick TKO win at UFC on ESPN 10

Julia Avila showed her excitement both in and out of the octagon after a successful sophomore appearance.

“Raging Panda” improved to 2-0 in the UFC with an impressive 22-second TKO win over Gina Mazany at UFC on ESPN 10 this past Saturday night in Las Vegas. Following the win, she had a face-to-face with UFC president Dana White, where she showed her excitement in a hilarious way.

Check out an exclusive interview with MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck as Avila recaps her first UFC finish, explains why she felt her performance was “sloppy,” what the conversation with White was like, not getting a performance bonus, when she’d like to return and against whom*, feeling free as a fighter, and more.

(*Editor’s note: This interview took place before Avila’s next fight was reported on Tuesday evening. She is expected to face Nicco Montano in a bantamweight bout at a UFC event on Aug. 8 in Las Vegas, a rematch from a January 2017 regional show that Avila won by unanimous decision.)
