Pedro Munhoz and Frankie Edgar will have to wait four more days before facing each other inside the octagon.

“The Answer” was originally scheduled to make his bantamweight debut in the preliminary portion of UFC 251 on July 11, but the company opted to move his fight with Pedro Munhoz to the co-main event slot of the July 15 Fight Night card, sources told MMA Fighting following a report by Ag. Fight.

Both events will take place at the Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The July 15 show will be headlined by featherweights Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige.

Edgar (23-8-1) makes his first trip to 135 pounds after back-to-back losses to Max Holloway and “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung in 2019. The former UFC lightweight champion aims to score his first octagon win since a decision over Cub Swanson in April 2018.

Munhoz (18-4, 1 no-contest) was victorious in seven of his last nine UFC appearances, but dropped a decision to bantamweight contender Aljamain Sterling in June 2019. “The Young Punisher” was coming off knockouts over Cody Garbrandt and Bryan Caraway prior to the setback.
