Junior dos Santos vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik agreed for UFC 252

Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier will not be the only heavyweights competing at UFC 252.

Sources told MMA Fighting that former UFC champion Junior dos Santos has agreed to face Jairzinho Rozenstruik at the Aug. 15 pay-per-view show. Combate first reported the matchup.

The UFC has yet to announce the exact location for UFC 252, but it’s expected to take place in the United States.

Dos Santos (21-7) will attempt to get back on track following knockouts losses to Francis Ngannou and Curtis Blaydes. “Cigano” was on a three-fight winning streak prior to his recent setbacks.

Rozenstruik (10-1) is coming off the first defeat of his professional MMA career, a 20-second stoppage to Ngannou in May. The loss snapped “Bigi Boy’s” perfect 4-0 run in the UFC with knockouts over the likes of Alistair Overeem and Andrei Arlovski.
