Multiple sources confirmed the bout to MMA Fighting on Saturday following an initial report from ESPN.
Eye will be making her return to action following a unanimous decision victory over Viviane Araujo this past December as the former title contender got back in the win column after coming up short in her bid to win the belt from reigning champion Valentina Shevchenko.
The only blemish on Eye’s record with the win over Araujo was missing weight ahead of the fight, which means the Ohio native will certainly aim to hit the flyweight limit on June 13.
As for Calvillo, she will be making her debut in the 125-pound division after she faced her own struggles with weight cutting while competing as a strawweight. Calvillo has amassed an impressive 8-1-1 record overall including five wins in the UFC but now she will test herself in a new division as she moves up to flyweight.
Eye vs. Calvillo will headline the June 13 card with several fights previously confirmed for the event, although the UFC hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the show.
