Karl Roberson has missed weight for UFC Jacksonville.
Ahead of his seventh promotional appearance, “Baby K” tipped the scales at 187.5 pounds for his middleweight bout with Marvin Vettori at the official weigh-ins Tuesday morning.
Vettori successfully made weight at 186 pounds.
The UFC confirmed that the Roberson-Vettori fight will proceed as scheduled on Wednesday with Roberson forfeiting 20 percent of his purse. Roberson and Vettori faced off following the weigh-ins and had a lot to say to each other.
After a submission loss to Glover Teixeira in January 2019, Roberson picked up back-to-back wins over Wellington Turman and Roman Kopylov. The 29-year-old is 4-2 in his UFC tenure after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Vettori bounced back from a decision loss to Israel Adesanya with consecutive wins over Cezar Ferreira and, most recently, Andrew Sanchez.
Roberson was the only fighter on the card to miss weight.
