Bellator’s live schedule might be on pause, but the promotion continues to replay its “most historic events and marquee matchups.”
The Viacom-owned promotion on Monday announced a new series, “Bellator MMA Recharged,” which debuts Saturday on CBS Sports Network and features the re-airing of Bellator 192 and Bellator 194. The show airs at 8 p.m. ET.
Veteran referee turned commentator “Big” John McCarthy will host the show, which focuses on the heavyweight grand prix matchups that took place at the pair of events.
Bellator 192 took place Jan. 20, 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and was headlined by a heavyweight clash between Chael Sonnen and Quinton Jackson. Bellator 194 took place took place Feb. 16 of the same year and featured a heavyweight clash between Matt Mitrione and Roy Nelson.
Future episodes air Wednesdays starting on April 29 at 8 p.m. ET. CBS Sports Network is owned by ViacomCBS, which also owns Bellator. Promotion president Scott Coker promoted several events under the now-defunct Strikeforce on the flagship CBS network before an infamous 2010 brawl that effectively ended the partnership. Bellator currently airs live on Paramount Network, also owned by ViacomCBS, and online digital network DAZN.
