As Israel Adesanya can attest, Darren Till has officially taken his social media game to the next level.
Coming off of a successful debut in the UFC’s middleweight division in November, Till is scheduled to face former champion Robert Whittaker in the main event of UFC Dublin in August. With a victory, “The Gorilla” will be knocking on the door of a 185-pound title opportunity.
On Tuesday, Adesanya released a video of Till sliding into his DM’s, letting the champion know that he’s coming.

The move to 185 pounds seems to have come at a perfect time for Till. After going unbeaten over his first 18 professional bouts and notching back-to-back wins over Donald Cerrone and Stephen Thompson, the 27-year-old Brit challenged Tyron Woodley for the welterweight title in the main event of UFC 228. Woodley retained the title with a second-round submission.
Till would go on to headline UFC on ESPN+ 5 in March 2019 and was brutally knocked out by Jorge Masvidal. With the weight cut taking a toll on his body, Till made the decision to jump up to 185 pounds, and went on to defeat Kelvin Gastelum in the co-main event of UFC 244.
While he is enhancing his social media prowess during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Till has also decided to enhance his tastebuds. In a recent Instagram post, Till says his current diet includes chocolate eclairs and Five Guys hamburgers. Luckily, the Liverpool native doesn’t have to fight until August.
Adesanya is coming off his first successful title defense, a unanimous decision win over Yoel Romero in the main event of UFC 248 this past month. “The Last Stylebender” had a 2019 to remember, winning the interim and undisputed middleweight titles and becoming one of the biggest stars in the UFC.
