Mairbek Taisumov and former title contender Tonya Evinger are among 13 fighters recently purged from the UFC roster.

Here is the full list of fighters no longer part of the UFC roster: Mairbek Taisumov, Tonya Evinger, Dong Hyun Ma, Chance Rencountre, Matthew Lopez, Cyril Asker, Khalid Murtazaliev, Talita Bernardo, Jodie Esquibel, Kyle Prepolec, Marcos Mariano, Isabela de Padua and Lu Zhenhong.

Taisumov is probably the most surprising name on the list after the Russian lightweight put together an impressive 6-1 record over his past seven fights with his only loss coming to Diego Ferreira last September. During a recent six-fight win streak, Taisumov knocked out five opponents in a row before going to a decision with Desmond Green.

Unfortunately, Taisumov’s UFC career was plagued with visa issues that constantly stopped him from traveling to the United States, which then forced the organization to book him in international locations for all of his fights in the Octagon.

Meanwhile, Evinger’s run with the UFC comes to an end after going 0-3 in her only three fights with the promotion.

Evinger joined the UFC roster as a late replacement to face Cris Cyborg for the women’s featherweight title after she previously reigned as the Invicta FC bantamweight champion.

She ultimately fell to Cyborg by third-round TKO and just could not regain the same momentum she had in Invicta FC with two more consecutive losses at bantamweight to Aspen Ladd and Lina Lansberg.
