With the sporting world effectively on hold due to coronavirus concerns, ESPN is devoting an entire day to the UFC.
The promotion’s broadcasting partner announced that Saturday is “UFC Day” and ESPN is commemorating the occasion with a full schedule of classic fights starting at noon ET. Among the fights to be aired are both Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz encounters, Jon Jones’s first meeting with Alexander Gustafsson, and last year’s epic interim title fight between Israel Adesanya and Kelvin Gastelum.
UFC Day on ESPN begins at noon and ends at 11 p.m. ET after a broadcast of the entirety of UFC 244, which was headlined by a “BMF” championship bout between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz.
Saturday’s UFC schedule was originally to revolve around a Fight Night event in London that was to be headlined by a welterweight bout between Tyron Woodley and Leon Edwards, but that show has been postponed indefinitely in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
