Thursday marked the nine-year anniversary of Jon Jones becoming the youngest champion in UFC history.
“Bones” was just 23 years old when he dispatched Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in the third round of the main event of UFC 128 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., to capture the light heavyweight championship. It would be the first of many championship victories for Jones, who currently holds the title.
