BRAVE CF postpones all upcoming shows due to ongoing coronavirus outbreak

BRAVE CF has made the decision to postpone all of their upcoming shows as the coronavirus outbreak continues to sweep the globe.

The promotion made the announcement on Sunday following numerous other mixed martial arts organizations around the world making a similar decision.

“Given the global spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is with great sadness that we announce that the upcoming Brave CF 35, Brave CF 36 and Brave CF 37have been postponed until further notice.

“With the current situation, the BRAVE CF team are compelled to take action in helping in any way we can to minimize the spread of the virus. BRAVE CF’s core value - to empower one another and grow as one entity, guides us as we face the difficult challenge of responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization has now declared a pandemic.

“Our hearts and thoughts are with all those affected by COVID-19, as well as their families, friends and loved ones.”

The next three BRAVE CF shows were scheduled in Brazil, Sweden and Romania.

BRAVE CF 35, which was scheduled March 28, was also part of the upcoming flyweight grand prix that the promotion was kicking off in 2020. Now all of those fights have been postponed until an undetermined date in the future.

Numerous organizations have been forced to make similar moves in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak that has seen more than 5,800 deaths worldwide.

As of now, the UFC and ONE Championship are still planning to move forward with upcoming shows, although both organizations have been forced to make significant changes in order to move forward. ONE Championship recently announced that all of their upcoming shows will be held behind closed doors without an audience in attendance.

The UFC announced late Saturday night that they would be forced to move three upcoming cards — the UFC Fight Night cards scheduled in London and Portland as well as the UFC on ESPN 8 show — to new locations that are still to be determined.
