UFC Vegas 16 video: Ilia Topuria turns out the lights on Damon Jackson

Ilia Topuria brought a swift halt to Damon Jackson’s octagon comeback, stopping the veteran at the 2:38 mark of the the first round with a fierce combination of punches.

Topuria battered the body before going upstairs, landing a right hand that dropped Jackson. A left hand was entirely unneeded with the UFC vet out cold.

Topuria was as high as a -300 favorite to beat Jackson, who pulled off a big upset over Mirsad Bektic earlier this year after five years on the smaller circuit. Topuria’s striking was clearly superior from the outset as he bloodied Jackson’s nose before the finishing combination.

With the finish, Topuria extends his unbeaten streak to nine fights, including two in the UFC. Jackson sees a two-fight winning streak snapped.
