Former Invicta FC atomweight champion Jinh Yu Frey will aim for her first octagon victory when she meets Gloria de Paula in a strawweight contest at a UFC Fight Night card on March 13, multiple people with knowledge of the booking told MMA Fighting.
The UFC has yet to officially announce the Fight Night event, as well as its location and headlining attraction.
Frey (9-6), who beat the likes of Herica Tiburcio, Ashley Cummins and Minna Grusander under the Invicta FC banner and moved up to 115 pounds to sign with the UFC in 2020, went 0-2 so far in the promotion with losses to Kay Hansen and Loma Lookboonmee.
De Paula (5-2) left a good impression in her first appearance inside the octagon in November, earning a contract with the UFC after scoring a decision victory over Pauline Macias at Dana White’s Contender Series. “Glorinha” trains at Chute Boxe Diego Lima in Sao Paulo alongside her girlfriend and fellow UFC fighter Mayra Bueno Silva, and top-ranked lightweight Charles Oliveira.
