UFC Vegas 14 weigh-in results: Paul Felder makes weight on five days’ notice, three fighters miss

Paul Felder was the last fighter booked for UFC Vegas 14 and the first to weigh in Friday morning.

“The Irish Dragon” came in at 155.75 pounds to successfully make weight for Saturday’s lightweight main event against Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Vegas 14. Felder is stepping in on just five days’ notice as a replacement for Islam Makhachev.

Dos Anjos also successfully weighed in, tipping the scales at 156 pounds.

Three fighters came in heavy, Abdul Razak Alhassan, Eryk Anders, and Louis Smolka. Alhassan weighed in at 172.5 pounds, 1.5 pounds over the welterweight limit, Anders at 187.5 pounds, 1.5 pounds over the middleweight limit, and Smolka at 139 pounds, three pounds over the bantamweight limit (all including a one-pound allowance).

Their respective bouts with Khaos Williams, Antonio Arroyo, and Jose Quinonez will proceed as scheduled with Alhassan, Anders, and Smolka forfeiting 20 percent of their purses to their opponents.

Saturday’s lineup took a hit shortly before the official weigh-ins began. The UFC announced that Julian Marquez vs. Saparbeg Safarov has been canceled due to Safarov having weight management issues.
