Featherweight Josh Emmett has been forced out of his upcoming clash with Arnold Allen, which was scheduled for UFC Fight Night in Raleigh, N.C. on Jan. 25.

Sources close to the situation confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday following an initial report from MMAJunkie.

Emmett apparently suffered an injury in training that will prevent him from competing on the upcoming card in North Carolina. There’s no word yet on the severity of the injury that prevented the Team Alpha Male fighter from seeking his third win in a row after knocking out Mirsad Bektic and Michael Johnson in consecutive fights.

UFC officials have not made any announcement regarding Emmett’s withdrawal or plans to find a replacement opponent for Allen.

UFC Raleigh will be headlined by Curtis Blaydes taking on former heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos, with Michael Chiesa meeting Rafael dos Anjos in the co-main event.
