Felicia Spencer vs. Zarah Fairn set as UFC Norfolk co-main, several more fights confirmed

Esther Lin, MMA Fighting

Felicia Spencer and Zarah Fairn clash in a fight of featherweight contenders in the co-main event at UFC Fight Night from Norfolk, Va. on Feb. 29.

On Tuesday, the UFC announced Spencer vs. Fairn will share headlining duties with a fight for the vacant flyweight title when Joseph Benavidez faces Deiveson Figueiredo.

Spencer looks to get back on track following a loss to former featherweight champion Cris Cyborg in her most recent outing this past July. Prior to that setback, she rattled off seven straight wins to start her career, including an impressive submission victory over Megan Anderson in her Octagon debut.

Fairn hopes to get her first UFC win after coming up short in her debut with a first-round submission loss to Anderson this past October.

After fights with Spencer and Fairn, Anderson faces off with Norma Dumont in one of several additional fights also confirmed by the UFC for the card in Virginia.

Dana White Contender Series veteran Aalon Cruz makes his UFC debut against Steven Peterson, while heavy-handed Brit Tom Breese returns to action against Brendan Allen.

Undefeated prospect Sean Brady makes his second UFC appearance when he faces off with Ismail Naurdiev. Heavyweights Marcin Tybura and Serghei Spivac also meet on the card alongside Ion Cutelaba and Magomed Ankalaev in middleweight action.
