Chatri Sityodtong isn’t planning to slow down in 2020.
The ONE Championship CEO announced over the weekend that the Singapore-based promotion is looking to hold 50 events this year, surpassing 2019’s mark of 42 events, which had been a record for ONE. Those numbers include major ONE Championship events, as well as ONE Super Series, ONE Hero Series, ONE Warrior Series, and ONE Esports.
Per a press release that was sent out Monday, ONE events are expected to be held in “key markets” such as Bangkok, Manila, Tokyo, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and China, among other locations. Inaugural events in the United States and India are also being discussed for late 2020.
ONE Championship currently has several events already scheduled for 2020, including ONE Championship: A New Tomorrow, which takes place in Bangkok this Friday.
