The popular French fighter, Charriere (15-7-0), first competed for the featherweight interim title when he stepped in on short notice for a fight with recently signed Bellator fighter and Scandinavian front runner, Soren Bak, who is a former double champion under the Cage Warirors banner.
Charriere went the distance with his fellow prospect, with the Dane getting the majority decision nod. Charriere’s performance, on short notice against one of the top prospects in Europe, turned a lot of heads among media and fans alike. His further victories over Lewis Monarch and former featherweight champion Dean Trueman cemented his place as one of the rising stars for the organization in 2020.

On top of his dynamic skillset, Charriere has one of the strongest followings in Europe. He was one of three Cage Warriors fighters named in MMA Fighting’s European Prospects to Watch in 2020 feature. The other two fighters who made the list — Modestus Bukaukus and Jai Herbert — signed for the UFC earlier this month.
