RIZIN Fighting Federation announced the date, location and several match-ups for its first show of the year. RIZIN 21, set for Feb. 22 at the Hamamatsu Arena in Shizuoka, Japan, currently includes seven MMA bouts and five kickboxing matches.

RIZIN 21 will mark the promotional debut of Japanese veteran Masanori Kanehara (27-13-5), a former Sengoku champion and UFC veteran, taking on Victor Henry (19-4), who finished Trent Girdham with an incredible triangle choke in his first RIZIN bout last August.

Kanehara and Henry met in a Quintet grappling match on June 2018 with the Japanese fighter winning via submission.

Mikuru Asakura (13-1, 1 no-contest), who defeated Bellator fighter John Macapa via decision at RIZIN’s NYE card, returns to action against TUF Latin America 2 alum Daniel Salas (16-6-1).

Former UFC fighter Naoki Inoue (12-2) also makes his debut inside the RIZIN ring, taking on Trent Girdham (12-3).
