Magomed Ankalaev is bringing his win streak to Virginia.
Officials have added a trio of bouts to the upcoming UFC Norfolk card, Ankalaev vs. Ion Cutelaba (light heavyweight), Serghei Spivac vs. Marcin Tybura (heavyweight), and Giga Chikadze vs. Mike Davis (featherweight).
After losing in his UFC debut via last-second submission to Paul Craig, Ankalaev (12-1) has rebounded with three consecutive wins against Dalcha Lungiambula, Klidson Abreu, and Marcin Prachnio. His win over Lungiambula at UFC Moscow was capped off by a third-round front kick knockout.
Cutelaba (15-4, 1 NC) also has a reputation as a fight finisher, with wins in three of his last four fights, all coming by way of KO/TKO.
Spivak (10-1) is 1-1 in his UFC career so far, with a KO loss to Walt Harris and a submission win over Tai Tuivasa. The 24-year-old Spivak, who holds wins over MMA lifers Tony Lopez and Travis Fulton, faces another veteran in Tybura (17-6), who has just one win in his last five fights.
This will be the second UFC appearance for Chikadze (8-2), an experienced kickboxer who won a split decision in his promotional debut in September. Chikadze had to sweat out his first victory as it was initially ruled a draw due to a scoring error.
Davis (8-2) is coming off of his first UFC win, a third-round knockout of Thomas Gifford. “Beast Boy” is 1-1 inside the Octagon so far.
