Conor McGregor made a triumphant return at UFC 246 with a quick finish of Donald Cerrone, and “BMF” champion Jorge Masvidal cageside to see it all go down.

One fighter not in attendance – Masvidal’s most recent opponent, who has history with all three men – gave a frank appraisal of the fast finish.

Nate Diaz immediately sent out series of short tweets expressing his disdain for the outcome and taking a shot at Masvidal, who beat him via doctor’s stoppage at UFC 244 for the “BMF” belt in November.

“Weak as f*ck,” Diaz wrote first, clearly unimpressed with McGregor’s 40-second TKO victory.

“And why the f*ck you in a robe,” he wrote next, referring to the Versace robe that Masvidal was wearing at the event.

“This shits alll fake,” he concluded.

Diaz was involved in two high-profile bouts with McGregor, winning the first by submission and losing the second by majority decision. He defeated Cerrone by unanimous decision at UFC 141 eight years ago.

It remains to be seen whether Diaz’s comments are due to any lingering animosity with the three fighters he’s presumably referring to, or if he is jockeying for a future fight.

Then again, it could just be Stockton’s favorite son spouting off on a Saturday night.
