Austin Vanderford is wasting no time.
Less than two weeks after scoring his second Bellator win, “The Gentleman” already has a date and opponent set for his third appearance under the promotion’s banner. The promotion announced that Vanderford will be taking on Grachik Bozinyan at Bellator 234 in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Nov. 14.
Bellator 234 will be headlined by a previously-announced heavyweight clash between Sergei Kharitonov and Linton Vassell and air in the U.S. via tape delay on Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on Paramount Network and DAZN.
Vanderford (8-0), a one-time Dana White’s Contender Series alum — who also happens to be Paige VanZant’s husband —, submitted Cody Jones in the first round in his Bellator debut in February and recently scored a TKO stoppage over Joseph Creer on Aug. 24.
Returning to action more than two years after his last fight, Bozinyan (10-3) is looking to get back on track after having a five-fight winning streak snapped at ACB 62 in 2017. The Russian middleweight scored all of his MMA wins by knockout or submission.
Father and son Haim Gozali and Aviv Gozali will both compete on the card, Bellator announced. In addition to returning to Tel Aviv for the fourth straight year, the company announced the signing of Israeli fighters Raz Bring (4-2), Adam Keresh (3-0) and Simon Smotritsky (5-0).
