“The fight is over. You never stopped fighting and we never gave up on you. Just wasn’t in the cards,” Tilley wrote. “...I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it. I was honored to be able to live your dream with you. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will miss you more than the world will ever know.”
Collins’s health situation was previously mentioned by Bellator official Rich Chou this past weekend:

Following a lengthy amateur career, Collins, a mother of two sons, compiled a 7-5 record pro record competing primarily at 125 pounds with several appearances for the Bellator MMA and LFA promotions. In Bellator, she picked up victories over Bruna Vargas and Michelle Royer, part of a two-year stretch that saw her win six of seven fights. Her last bout saw her drop a unanimous decision to Jaimee Nievera at an LFA show in June of last year.
A GoFundMe had recently been started to help Collins pay for medical expenses, but the purpose has now been modified to address memorial costs as well.
