Former WWE superstar Jake Hager — best known by his pro wrestling moniker “Jack Swagger” — has booked his third professional fight with his return set for Bellator 231 on Oct. 25 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn.
In his next fight, Hager is expected to face Anthony Garrett, a 4-2 heavyweight who has competed for Shamrock FC in all of his pro fights.
Sources close to the fight confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday following an initial report from ESPN.
A former Division I All-American wrestler from Oklahoma, Hager made the move from collegiate wrestling to professional wrestling where he was a multi-time champion in WWE. While Hager still competes on the independent wrestling circuit, he turned his attention to mixed martial arts when he signed with Bellator in 2017.
Since that time, Hager has gone 2-0 with a pair of first-round submission victories.
Hager will look to make it three in a row when he returns to action as part of the Bellator 231 card with heavyweights Frank Mir and Roy Nelson meeting in a rematch in the main event.
