It was a banner night for Asian fighters in the UFC.
Making the most of their headlining opportunities, Weili Zhang and Li Jingliang both picked up $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses for their huge wins Saturday at UFC Shenzhen.
Zhang was a lock for a bonus after becoming the new UFC strawweight champion with a 42-second TKO win over Jessica Andrade in the evening’s main event.
In the co-main event, Jingliang snapped the seven-fight win streak of Elizeu Zaleski, getting the better of the Brazilian for three rounds before finishing with strikes in the closing seconds.
