Two more bouts have officially been announced for UFC Tampa.
A welterweight bout between Max Griffin (15-6) and Alex Morono (16-5, 1 NC), and a flyweight bout between JJ Aldrich (7-3) and Lauren Mueller (5-2) were officially added to the upcoming Oct. 12 card, per a press release Wednesday.
The Griffin-Morono bout was previously reported by MMA Junkie, the Aldrich-Mueller bout by the Tampa Bay Times.
Griffin recently snapped a two-fight losing streak, defeating Zelim Imadaev by majority decision at UFC 236 in April to improve his record inside the Octagon to 3-4. Morono has won two straight, finishing Zak Ottow with strikes in March and outpointing Kenan Song last November. He owns a 5-2 UFC record.
Aldrich (3-2 in the UFC) is coming off of her first loss in her last four appearances, a second-round knockout loss to Maycee Barber. Prior to that, the Ultimate Fighter 23 alum picked up consecutive wins over Polyana Viana, Danielle Taylor, and Chan Mi Jeon.
A Contender Series signee, Mueller is just 1-2 in the UFC so far having dropped her last two fights to Poliana Botelho and Yanan Wu.
UFC Tampa takes place on Oct. 12 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, and it will be headlined by a strawweight bout between former UFC champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson. The main card will air live on the ESPN+ streaming service.
