Manny Bermudez and Casey Kenney can breathe a little easier.

The two fighters agreed to have their bantamweight bout Saturday at UFC 241 changed to a 140-pound catchweight bout, following a suggestion from the UFC, MMA Fighting confirmed with officials.

ESPN was first to report the news, citing California State Athletic Commission executive officer Andy Foster.

Bermudez actually weighed in at 140 pounds in his last bout, coming in heavy against Benito Lopez at UFC on ESPN 1 in February. Though he forfeited 30 percent of his purse, Bermudez went on to win via first-round submission.

Asked about Bermudez possibly missing the bantamweight mark, Kenney said Thursday that he had no problem with that happening because it would just mean more money for him. As it stands, it now seems less likely that either man will have any issue with beating the scale Friday morning.
