A change has been made the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Vancouver on Sept. 14 as Marvin Vettori will step into the fight against Andrew Sanchez after his original opponent David Branch was forced off the card.

Multiple sources close to the situation confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Thursday. UFC officials have not announced any changes to the card but verbal agreements are in place for the new matchup. MMAJunkie initially reported Branch’s exit from the fight.

Vettori is coming off a strong showing in his last fight where he defeated Cezar Ferreira by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night in Sacramento in July.

Vettori also revealed on Instagram that he just recently inked a new contract with the UFC.

He will step into the fight in September against Sanchez, who is looking to build on a recent two-fight win streak including victories over Markus Perez and Marc-Andre Barriault.

The UFC Fight Night card from Vancouver will be headlined by a lightweight showdown between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Justin Gaethje.
