Melissa Gatto failed an out-of-competition drug test ahead of her cancelled UFC 239 fight earlier this month, and the 'B' sample test also came back positive for furosemide, a diuretic.
Gatto told MMA Fighting she expects to be given a year-long suspension.
The undefeated bantamweight planned to have her supplements tested to see if there was any contamination, but said she can’t afford paying $500 per test.
Gatto (6-0-2) signed with the UFC to take on Talita Bernardo at UFC 237 in May, but was pulled from the card due to health issues. She was then matched-up against Julia Avila at UFC 239 in Las Vegas, but tested positive for the diuretic.
