Taila Santos is not the only fighter to pull out of UFC Uruguay with an injury.

The UFC announced on Monday that Polyana Viana will replace Rachael Ostovich in a flyweight bout with Veronica Macedo in Montevideo, Uruguay, on Aug. 10. Also, Rodrigo Vargas will step in to replace Rafael Fiziev against Brazilian lightweight Alex da Silva, the company announced following a report by Combate.

The third change to the card is Laureano Staropoli withdrawing from a welterweight contest with Alexey Kunchenko with a broken nose, MMA Fighting confirmed following a report by Combate.

The UFC is currently looking for new opponents for Kunchenko and Ariane Carnelossi.

Viana (10-3) is coming off back-to-back defeats to JJ Aldrich and Hannah Cifers after submitting Maia Kahaunaele-Stevenson in her Octagon debut, while Macedo (5-3-1) lost three in a row under the UFC banner to Ashlee Evans-Smith, Andrea Lee and Gillian Robertson.

Vargas (11-2), who won seven of his last eight, hasn’t fought since a 18-second knockout win over UFC veteran Mike De La Torre in May 2018. Da Silva (20-2) looks for his first Octagon win after taking a fight with Alexander Yakovlev on short notice in April and losing via second-round submission.
