Hakeem Dawodu left no doubt that he is one to watch at 135 pounds.
After back-to-back decision victories, Dawodu scored his third straight victory with a wicked head kick TKO of Yoshinori Horie at UFC 240 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, on Saturday.

Dawodu, who proudly represents Calgary, thrilled the Alberta crowd with his first UFC finish after taking the better part of three rounds to figure out the evasive Horie. Even with the scores likely in his favor, Dawodu pressed for the finish, crippling Horie with a knee to the body before throwing a high kick that ended the fight at the 4:09 mark of the final round.
Now 3-1 in the UFC, “Mean Hakeem” said post-fight that he hopes to “lead the wave” for the next generation of Canadian fighters.
