This is The A-Side Live Chat on MMA Fighting.
Today, José Youngs will be joined by UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber.
The two will give their reaction to an eventful UFC San Antonio, where fans saw Leon Edwards earn a domination decision over Rafael Dos Anjos in the night’s main event. Was this performance enough to catapult Edwards into title contention or does he still have a few more wins to go? Where does this setback land Dos Anjos? Is he still a viable contender at 170-pounds?
They will also look ahead to UFC 240 on Saturday night in Edmonton, featuring a featherweight title fight between Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar. Would a win cement Holloway as the greatest featherweight in UFC history? Will his last performance against interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier play a factor against his smaller foe? Oh, and what about this whole “face of Canada” thing he has going for him?
Is this Edgar’s last shot at reclaiming UFC gold? Where does Holloway rank among his past opponents? Does a win guarantee Edgar a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame or is that already a lock?
They will look towards Cris Cyborg’s murky future inside the UFC Octagon. With only one fight left on her UFC contract, could this be the last time we see the former champion don the UFC gloves? Does the future of the featherweight division rest on her shoulders? Does her opponent, Felicia Spencer, have a change against the powerful Brazilian or is she set to face the wrath Cyborg? If Spencer does emerge victorious, who else is there to face at 145-pounds?
Also, if there is time, the two will discuss the title picture at both bantamweight and flyweight? If champ champ Henry Cejudo faces Joseph Benavidez next, who does Faber see as his next challenger? Aljamain Sterling? Petr Yan?
There is plenty to discuss, so join us to rap on all of the above and much more. As we always say, this is your show, so we will talk about whatever it is you want us to talk about. The chat will start at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
As usual, we’ll post the video window as the event draws near and answer any questions you might have if you post them in the comments below. For the comments you deem the most deserving, please click the “rec” button. Comments in green will get first priority.
