Former UFC fighter Amanda Cooper is returning to Invicta Fighting Championship, promotion officials confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by MMAjunkie.

However, despite reports that Cooper (3-5)—who holds UFC wins over Anna Elmose and Angela Magana—will be part of the Phoenix Rising flyweight tournament in September, it appears that her next Invicta booking has not been finalized.

MMA Fighting reached out to Cooper and Invicta president Shannon Knapp, both of whom said Cooper is not confirmed to be involved in the tournament. Knapp added that the lineup for the tournament is yet to be finalized.

Cooper is currently scheduled to compete at a Lights Out Championship event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Sept. 7 against Jamie Milanowski.

“ABC” made it to the TUF 23 strawweight final back in 2016 after defeating Mellony Geugjes, Jamie Moyle and Lanchana Green on the reality show, but lost to season winner Tatiana Suarez in the final. Cooper went 2-4 in her following UFC appearances.

The 27-year-old fighter competed once under the Invicta FC banner, suffering a second-round submission defeat to Aspen Ladd in her second professional MMA bout in 2015.
