The latest Fight Wing inductee to the UFC Hall of Fame is one of the wildest fights in MMA history.
During Saturday’s UFC 238 broadcast, it was announced that Diego Sanchez vs. Clay Guida from The Ultimate Fighter 9 on June 20, 2009, will be honored during international fight week this July. That lightweight main event saw Sanchez defeat Guida by split decision after three rounds of non-stop action.

Sanchez-Guida becomes the fifth fight to enter the UFC Hall of Fame, joining Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar (The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale), Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg 2 (UFC 52), Mark Coleman vs. Pete Williams (UFC 17), and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Dan Henderson 1 (UFC 139).
Guida was in attendance at the United Center in Chicago to take in the announcement.

The 2019 UFC Hall of Fame ceremony takes place on July 5 in Las Vegas. Also being inducted into the Modern Wing this year are former UFC champions Michael Bisping, Rich Franklin, and Rashad Evans.
