Eryk Anders needed less than two minutes to pick up his first win at light heavyweight with a devastating knockout against Vinicius Moreira on the preliminary card of UFC Minneapolis on Saturday.
Knowing that his opponent would likely look to get him to the ground early and often, Anders was well prepared to thwart those takedown attempts to keep the fight standing.
Anders eventually backed Moreira up against the cage where he unleashed a series of blistering punches, including a pair of left hands that crumbled the Brazilian prospect.

Anders finished with a few more shots on the ground to earn the stoppage at 1:18 into the opening round.
The win put Anders back on track following three straight losses and afterwards he said he would like to return as early as the upcoming UFC card in San Antonio in July if a slot was available to him.
