This is The A-Side Live Chat on MMA Fighting.

Today on the show, Shaun will be joined by MMA Fighting’s Alexander K. Lee to discuss UFC 237, which goes down this week in Rio de Janeiro. Rose Namajunas is back to defend her strawweight title against Jessica Andrade; the champ is the underdog, but should she be? What about the other big fights on the card, Jose Aldo vs. Alexander Volkanovski and Anderson Silva vs. Jared Cannonier, what’s at stake in those?

We’ll also discuss this past week’s UFC Ottawa event, which was headlined by an hugely important fight between Al Iaquinta and Donald Cerrone. Alex was on the ground in Ottawa to see Cerrone’s big win. What’s next for “Cowboy?” Is a much-discussed matchup against Conor McGregor actually a possibility? What does the loss mean for “Raging Al?”

We’ll also speak about the slew of notable updates and matchups that have been announced since we last spoke. Tony Ferguson changed management and now appears to be on the verge of signing a fight; who should “El Cucuy” face? And how good does that Yoel Romero vs. Paulo Costa matchup look now that it’s back on the menu for UFC 241?

Also on tap, PFL’s second season starts are Thursday; what are the big storylines there? There were plenty of other notable performances to discuss from this past weekend, whether it was Shane Burgos’ upset win over Cub Swanson, Raymond Daniels’ ridiculous 720 knockout of Wilker Barros, or Brianna Van Buren’s victorious run through Invicta FC’s one-night strawweight tournament; what caught your eye in a busy MMA weekend?

There is plenty to discuss, so join us to rap on all of the above and much more. As we always say, this is your show, so we will talk about whatever it is you want us to talk about. The chat will start at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.

As always, we’ll post the video window as the event draws near and answer any questions you might have if you post them in the comments below. For the comments you deem the most deserving, please click the “rec” button. Comments in green will get first priority.
